Stay Fresh

Have you ever been shopping for fruit and you find a lot of rotten or even molded fruit in the bunch?? I'm sure you end up putting it right back on the shelf! The appearance is ugly, they start to become smelly, and they are picked over/discarded.

As women of God, we had the seeds of so many kinds of fruit planted in us when we accepted Christ into our lives....but it's time to check ourselves!!

But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control -Galatians 5:22
  • love-- it's not always so easy to love our bosses, strangers, or enemies but Gods greatest desire for us is to love

  • joy-- happiness is a mood that can come and go like the wind. Joy is a state of being and comes from God

  • peace-- it's hard to find peace in such a chaotic world, but God promised to keep us in perfect peace-- we just have to abide in Him

  • patience-- this one is hard to do, but it is a vital part of having faith

  • kindness-- We cant get into God's kingdom with hatred and envy in our hearts

  • goodness-- Let's reflect the Proverbs 31 woman who gives of herself to those who are in need

  • faithfulness-- In order to gain the blessings from our father, we must show God that we can be trusted & commit ourselves to Him

  • gentleness-- a gentle answer helps you to avoid unnecessary conflict

  • self-control-- this one is important to resist temptations from whatever may be a weakness: shopping, overeating, guarding our mouths etc

Now how did you do?? Sometimes we have to check ourselves every once in a while to make sure our fruit remain fresh!
