I remember the single life, and the question I would get often-- "why you still single?" Ladies isn't that annoying? Chances are, you're thinking the same thing so it irks you when a guy asks! Another famous line was-- "you're wifey material"...
Even though the single life could be lonely sometimes-- you're definitely not alone. I understood there were different seasons in my life, and living single seemed to be the longest one. All the wrong guys seemed to be the most interested, so I got to a place where I learned to value the alone time. It was in this time that God did the most work on me. In Matthew 28:20, God said surely I am with you always. He walks right by your side adding comfort, joy, peace, love....everything you need can be found in your heavenly father. Sometimes you have to have periods of solitude in order to learn who you truly are, in order to hear God's voice clearly, and to gain the tools necessary to love effectively. In order to love others, you must first love yourself and that takes being okay with spending time alone. Don't be hasty to jump from one relationship, into the next-- but wait on the Lord. You are priceless and your worth is far above rubies so never lower those standards for any old average Joe.
If you're feeling alone and getting discouraged, check out these scriptures!
Colossians 2:10-- And because you belong to Christ you are complete, having everything you need
Psalms 37:4-- Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart
Lamentations 3:25-26-- The Lord is good to those who wait for Him. He is good to those who look for Him. It is good to wait quietly for the Lord to save them.
In my waiting, God gave me just what I desired...
